RESTART Zukunftswerkstatt is a 3-day participatory training camp in Leipzig created to inspire action, empower young voices, and promote social transformation. It invites young people living in Germany to explore how citizens can reclaim public spaces, fight injustice, and uphold democratic values through the social reuse of abandoned and confiscated assets.

This event is more than just a camp — it’s a launchpad for engaged citizenship and collective change.


What will you experience?

You’ll take part in a rich program based on non-formal learning methodologies. The program includes:

  • > Inspiring stories of social reuse projects in Germany and across Europe
  • > Workshops and creative lab
  • > Tools and practices for active citizenship and social innovation
  • > Exchanges with experts and youth leaders
  • > Deep dives into reuse of assets confiscated from organized crime
  • > A community of like-minded active youngsers

All in an informal, collaborative environment designed to empower and activate.

Who can apply?

You can apply if you:

  • > Are between 18 and 35 years old
  • > Live in Germany
  • > Are curious about social justice, activism, or youth participation
  • > Want to learn, collaborate, and make an impact

No special background is required — just motivation and an open mind.

Organized by Eine Welt e.V. in collaboration with Dreaming OPEnly e.V., and with the participation of Geyserhaus e.V. and The Excellent Center of Halle, this camp is part of the larger RESTART Project, a European initiative working across five countries to strengthen democracy and social justice from the ground up.
